Darius Garland Leads Cavs to Victory Over Pacers

Garland's Scoring Surge Impresses in Mitchell's Absence

Cleveland, OH - Darius Garland's impressive performance on Friday night propelled the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 129-120 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Despite the absence of star guard Donovan Mitchell, Garland stepped up as the team's leading scorer with 26 points.

Garland, who played 29 minutes off the bench, shot an efficient 6-of-11 from the field and 4-of-5 from behind the three-point line. He also contributed two rebounds and four assists to the Cavs' overall success.

Garland's Hot Streak Continues

Garland's performance against the Pacers marked his third consecutive game with at least 20 points. On Monday, he scored 28 points in a win over the Detroit Pistons, and on Wednesday, he had 21 points in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Garland's recent surge in production has been a crucial factor in the Cavs' recent success. The team has won four of its last five games, and Garland's scoring has been a major catalyst.

Cavs Overcome Mitchell's Absence

The Cavs' victory over the Pacers was particularly impressive considering the absence of Mitchell, who is averaging a team-high 28.5 points per game. Mitchell missed the game due to a foot injury.

In Mitchell's absence, Garland and other members of the Cavs stepped up to fill the void. Caris LeVert scored 22 points, Kevin Love had 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Jarrett Allen added 15 points and 16 rebounds.

The Cavs' victory over the Pacers improved their record to 3-2 on the season. They will face the New York Knicks on Sunday in their next game.
