Orlando Magic Announce Assistant Coaching Staff

Five New Coaches Join Head Coach Jamahl Mosley

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Magic have named Nate Tibbetts, Jesse Mermuys, Dale Osbourne, Bret Brielmaier, and Pat Delany as assistant coaches, the team announced Monday.

Nate Tibbetts

Tibbetts joins the Magic after spending the past four seasons as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Thunder for two seasons.

Jesse Mermuys

Mermuys comes to Orlando after two seasons as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He previously spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets.

Dale Osbourne

Osbourne joins the Magic after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies for two seasons.

Bret Brielmaier

Brielmaier returns to the Magic after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics. He previously spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Magic from 2018 to 2021.

Pat Delany

Delany joins the Magic after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors. He previously spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the New York Knicks.

The Magic also announced that Lionel Chalmers and Steve Hetzel will return as assistant coaches. Bruce Kreutzer will join the team as a player development coach.

Anthony Parker was named general manager of the Orlando Magic in July 2023. Parker served as assistant general manager for two seasons from 2021 to 2023.
