Graham Coxon On More Blur Shows We Cant Leave It Too Long Because Were Knocking On

Blur’s Graham Coxon Hints at More Live Shows from the Band

Blur guitarist says the band haven’t ruled out further gigs after this summer’s concerts

Blur guitarist Graham Coxon has hinted that the band could play more live shows in the future, telling Guitar Magazine that they “can’t leave it too long” before they hit the road again.

The band are set to play two huge outdoor shows this summer, at London’s BST Hyde Park and Suffolk’s Latitude Festival. These will be their first shows since 2019.

Asked if the band would play more shows after this summer, Coxon said “I think we have to. We can’t leave it too long because we’re knocking on!”

He added: “The band is in a very, very good place. We’ve never had any animosity or bad feeling, but we just reached a point where we took a break and everyone was happy with that. I don’t think any of us would want to stop now. We’re having a lot of fun.”

Blur’s last album, ‘The Magic Whip’, was released in 2015. The band have not announced any plans to record new music, but Coxon said that they are “always talking about it”.

“I think we’d all love to make another album,” he said. “We just haven’t found the time yet. We’re all busy with other projects, but I think we’ll get there eventually.
